St Richard’s pupils achieve excellent results in their GCSE exams.

St Richard’s Catholic College is celebrating the outstanding achievements of all pupils who worked hard to take on the challenges of more demanding GCSEs and linear examinations.

Headline figures at this stage include: 81% of pupils achieving grade 4 (grade C equivalent) and above in five or more subjects including maths and English. 83% of pupils achieved grade 4 or above in maths whilst 91% of pupils achieved grade 4 or above in English.

There were many outstanding performances across the full ability range with a significant number of pupils achieving the highest grades 9, 8, 7, A*, A across the board.

Last week, we were delighted to receive the results of the AS Philosophy and Christian Thought group who all achieved grades A-C with the majority performing at an A grade.

Year 9 pupils, who chose to study Astronomy, achieved a 93% A*-C pass rate, whilst the early entry Year 10 RE group achieved 100% A*-B and a significant number of pupils took a GCSE in their first language achieving excellent grades.
