Flame – Catholic Youth Event

Flame – Catholic Youth Event

Last week, pupils in Years 10 and 11 had an assembly which offered them the opportunity to join with other young people across the country for a day of ‘Faith, Fun and Friendship’. Flame 3, the largest Catholic youth event in the country, is due to take place on Saturday, 11th March 2017 at Wembley Arena.

I have secured a number of tickets for Year 10 and 11 St Richard’s pupils to attend the event. There is music from Grammy award winner, Matt Redman and from One Hope Project, and speakers include Cardinal Bo from Burma, Bank of England Governor Mark Carney, Former Minister of State Sarah Teather, and Fr Augusto Zampini-Davies, who recently advised Pope Francis on the encyclical Laudato Sii.

I have prioritised pupils from the Confirmation group of Our Lady of Ransom Parish as they are unable to travel to this, and I know many of our other confirmation groups will be in attendance. Please see the attached letter for further details and to apply for a place on the trip.
